El Callejón de Hamel, is an narrow alley near the center of the city and is a place that pays tribute to their Afro-Cuban culture. Filled with vibrant colors (each with great significance to them), every wall is painted with quotes, flowers, there are art studios and religious practioners of Santeria.
This alley, that goes along for about two blocks, is filled with mosaics, paintings and sculptures. It’s just an explosion of the Cuban culture, from art, religion, music, dance, the people, everything! Contained on little alley, I think every visitor should definitely see it.
